Default 46RE interchange

What all will have to be done to make a 98-00 46RE work in an 01 R/T AWD beside swapping the transfer case? I ask because the 4x4 selector is an electric switch in the 01+ and a manual lever in the previous '00 and under. Thanks

98 and 99 used different electronics than the 00-01, so, those will need to change. Retainer for the governor pressure stuff is different as well. Aside from that, if both transmissions are from 4x4s, should be a direct swap.
