Default 99 durango

I have a 99 dodge durango. It has a 318ci with the 46re and transfercase for 4wd. I recently tore the transfercase off of the transmission.. I was wondering if anyone had the part numbers for the transfercase and the output shaft housing on the transmission. It has 2wd, part time, full time, and 4low.

So you have the NV242 t-case.

Do you need to replace the t-case? I think the part that the t-case bolts to is actually part of the O/D housing.....

Yes. Where the tcase mounts to the transmission is tore off. The trans side may be ok. I didnt get that far into looking into it. I thought I just broke my drive shaft. But when I went to put the new one on things didn't look right. Its completely separated from the transmission. Otherwise i didn't get too far into it as its raining outside. Lol But I imagine I'll have to replace that as well.

Raining? I'm jealous. It's cold and snowing here...... or, at least, it's thinking about snowing.

Crawl under there when ya get a chance, and see what's broke. When the t-case grenades, it's a crapshoot on whether it takes the trans with it or not.
