Hi all,

Is there any way to have the power outlets always on? currently when they key is on the outlets have power, when off none. I've seen some newer Dodge trucks have a fuse you can move from alternator to battery and that powers the outlet. Anything similar for gen 1?

Usually, at least one of them will be constant power......

 

My 2001 R/T has three outlets, under the dash, in the console, and in the rear cargo area. All are hot with the key off. What's hot or not must be model/year related.

I have power for the cigar lighter only when key is on. The one in dash has no power. EVER

 

The map lights work with key off so that's one source you can tap. Also there should be a memory wire going to the radio. Probe them with key off.
