Exclamation ABS module - my98 - 5.9 L

Hello guys,
my 5.9 L does lock the wheels (especially the rear right one) and no ABS light is on on the instrument panel. My mechanic checked the network, he says the problem lies in the control unit mounted on to of the hydraulic unit. Mine is a 4 wheels anti-lock. A friend of mine from Wisconsin adviced me to buy some reconditioned parts on Ebay. I wonder if you have any advice. Other vendors outside Ebay ? Thanks for your help. Sergio

Look at your brakes first, The rear is single circuit I believe. So, one side locking, is likely something going on with the brakes themselves, and not the ABS.

Sure I will, although the light (via CAN BUS) on the instrument panel never pops up and we already replaced the bulb

Brake lite itself only comes on when one circuit fails. (or, the abs lite comes on....) ABS light only comes on when the PCM thinks there is a problem with the system. As only one side in the rear is locking, so far as the PCM is concerned, everything is working like it should.

Thanks for these advices, to be honest we haven't removed the wheels to inspect the brake lines or the ABS sensors because I can't find the anti-theft bolt .... I take your advice and gotta find a way to remove the wheels before to purchase an expensive module. Thanks bye
