Default 2000 Dodge Durango Sport - Issues

I have a 2000 Dodge Durango Sport 4 WD- V8 - 4.7L, Gas - 168,000 miles with some issues.

Issue 1 - While driving the interior and headlights lights would slightly flicker and at random times the charging gauge in the dash would show over charging and check engine light would come on. However, I checked at the the Battery terminals while the dash gauge showed overcharging, my meter showed 14.7 at the battery - no overcharging. When I turn the truck off and back on "running" the charging dash gauge shows normal and the engine light goes off. The dash gauge randomly shows overcharging however, all the lights will always slightly flicker. I have replaced the alternator, battery, plugs, ignition coils, PVC and air filter. I believe the PCM could be the issue issue. This issue is still on going.

The vehicle set for about 4 months now the following problem has now happened.

Issue 2 - Took it out for a test drive after sitting 4 months and was at a stop sign when a gave it gas a large puff of black smoke came from the exhaust only 1 time and stopped. The next day I started it and now white smoke constantly comes out the exhaust. The vehicle has never over heated, its not loosing coolant and shows no error codes. It starts, idles and runs like it should minis the electrical issue above. I have done a radiator pressure test and a Combustion Leak test at the radiator and it held pressure and showed no exhaust in the coolant. I have removed the thermostat and flushed the coolant, and changed the oil and filter. It is not losing coolant, when I changed the oil it was was not milky or had water in it.

Any ideas???

It sat for four months, wonder if there is water in the gas, (condensation from sitting) that would account for your white smoke.

For the electrical, that really sounds like a bad ground somewhere. Chase 'em all down, clean 'em up, and see if the problem goes away.
