I have purchased a 1999 Dodge Durango with low kilometres and the body is in amazing condition. I need help with fuel mileage. Any suggestion would be great. I don’t have a heavy foot at all but I’m going through fuel like crazy. Any suggestions that have worked for others I would be so thankful

 

What engine/trans? What kind of mileage are you getting?

 

I got a 2000 4.7 4x4 with 135k miles. Gas mileage is around 15 miles (24.13 Km) per gallon. Yeah, not good. I just try to keep it well maintained and take it easy on the pedal. I also have a 2001 1500 with the 5.9 and 180k miles and it only does around 12 MPG (19.30 Km). I long ago accepted the poor gas mileage. It's not bad if you drive less than ten thousand miles per year, like me, but it would be most concerning if i drove a lot more.
