The only really complicated part is getting that mondo spring out of the o/d unit. Need a press for that. (it's like an 800 pound/inch spring.... you ain't compressing that by hand, and the consequences of some makeshift method failing would be.... dire..... to say the least. ) One of your local shops would likely take it out/install it for you, if you smile nice. (and throw money at them.....) Or, buy a cheap harbor fright press. I got mine used for 50 bucks.....

I would still go with some upgraded clutches.

Other broken parts? Good question. You might get lucky, then again, you might not..... if you have something else to drive while the truck is down, then it becomes a non-issue. If you have to get it done in a weekend, because it's all you have to drive.... makes life much more interesting.

Well had a tranny guy pull the pan and look around, Broken servo on the reverse adjustment side, had a hole in the bottom of the servo where the lever pushes on it, common fail he says, also that spring under the 5 bolt plate was broken,(i thought it was a 2 piece like a valve spring) but i was wrong. oh well we got reverse and all others working well. $350 thought that was fair so i gave him a $50 tip.
Thanks to all for the help and info, You All ROCK
MIKEY
