Default My project 98 durango

Hello everyone. I recently bought 98 dodge durango with the legendary 5.9 magnum that only has 94,000 miles. I've been looking into upgrades for it and the main things I'm trying to find are and upgraded torque converter, a 5 or 6 speed trans that I can fit into the car, and I've been trying to find a way to supercharge it since I can't find any of the parts for the sp360 anywhere

Well, it's pretty much a Dakota that's been enclosed, so, manual trans parts from a dak should bolt right in. I don't know that the durango ever came with a manual trans though..... but, should be doable. Keep in mind, the NV3500 never came from the factory behind a 360, and the NV4500 is physically larger.... may have some fitment problems with that, but, only way to know for sure, would be try it and see. Finding the trans is the fun part..... at least, without spending an arm and a leg.. and a few other body parts.

they never came with a manual trans and I don't won't to convert it to one as that would take way to much cutting and I wsnt to keep the interior intact.

When I see "5 or 6 speed" I immediately think "Manual Trans". My mistake.

Not sure what will bolt to the 5.9.... Rumor has it, there is only one bolt that doesn't line up, but, I don't have any hard data on that.... controlling the trans will be the fun part...

the thing I'm most focused on finding is the supercharger because I know that the sp360 was a 5.9l so there has to be a way to get the oarts needed to supercharge a regular 5.9 but i just cant find it. I even looked up the part number for the supercharger

Yeah, those are pretty rare. I don't think they make the parts any more.... likely have to find them used somewhere. (yeah, good luck with that....)
