Default Overhead A/C and defrost ?

I am curios as I noticed I had left the Overhead A/C unit on and when I had put the front heater/AC unit to defrost the rear unit was still blowing air and was curious if that works to remove extra moisture? That would be handy as I found I did not have a door shut all the way and it got a little wet inside I went ahead and cleaned the carpets as well as used a shop vac to suck up all I found of the water that got inside but now I see the windows are insanely fogged over
I am hoping I will be able to run the Defrost as well as the Overhead A/C and get most of the moisture removed.
Thanks

Borrow a dehumidifier and run it in the car overnight.
