Default ABS and Brake Light Only When Turning Left

2002 Durango 5.9L 4WD

I was having an intermittent ABS and brake light when driving so I did some research and decided to change the rear sensor on top of the rear diff. Now I get the ABS and brake light on only when turning left and unless Im imagining things I can feel maybe the braking system jerking or something at times also when this happens. Its very faint. I put new hubs with front sensors on about 10k miles ago. Any ideas? It has had a new ABS control module within the past 60k miles if that says anything. Thanks.

*Edit* I did check the cables for the front sensors and dont see any damage.

I would have a look at wheel bearings.... If you can read ABS codes, I would not be at all surprised to see a code for one of the front wheel speed sensors.

So I took it to my mechanic to pull the codes and of course there are no codes present. Even with the ABS light on. They said the only thing that would cause that is an electrical short.

Even a short should set a code.

Does your Durango have the fluid level sensor in the master cylinder? It's entirely possible that you are just low on fluid.

The reservoir is at the full level but yes it does have the sensor.

Try unplugging it, see if anything changes.

Alright. I figured it out. It was a short in the cable of the driver side front sensor. Part replaced and the problem is now gone.
