Default Owner - kickdown cable help

Need help with a 2000 Dodge Durango, 5.9L with a 46re Transmission. Can somebody please tell me all about the kickdown Cable for my car please. How it works and where I can get a new one so my car will shift right.
Thank you ALL 🙃
JC

Throttle Valve Cable. Basically it tells the trans how hard you are stepping on the go-pedal, to modulate how long it will hold gears, or downshift to a lower gear if you are getting really enthusiastic. Any auto parts store should be able to sell you one. (and they likely have 'em on the shelf.) To adjust it, with the throttle closed, and throttle valve down on the trans on it's stop, (I think there is a spring that should hold it there.) there should be NO slack in the cable at the throttle body. Once it's on there, go for a drive, see what you think. If it shifts too soon, tighten the cable one notch, test again, once you have it where you want it, you are all set. (and conversely, if it holds gears too long for your tastes, loosen the cable one notch....)
