Default 2000 Durango 5.9 Aditional Tranny cooler ?

So I am curious I have the HD cooling or Something like that (Listed in the Build sheet) But I seen it first runs into the radiator then to the cooler (In front of AC Condenser in front of radiator) Is there a reason they run it into the radiator then the cooler?
Wouldn't it work better bypassing the radiator or is this a cold weather feature? my 74 power wagon 727 did not run into radiator neither does my 1970 D20 Motorhome ( Project MH Unit)

Build sheet says HD Engine cooling, Power steering cooler and aux transmission cooler
Just curious

I added the build sheet (Equipment listing)

It hits the radiator first, so in cold weather, the radiator helps warm the fluid faster. Too cold can be just as bad as too warm for trans fluid.
