200 Durango New Leak Drivers floor + 1 other
So I noticed a couple weeks back that the drivers floor (Rug was soaking wet. If it were a leaking Heater core it should smell like anti freeze right? As well as I do not see a drop in th elevel, any one dealt with a leak that you cannot find on drivers side Only front floor? I only notice the wetness behind the build in plastic rubbber mat thing built into carpet, I do not feel any wetnesss up by pedals or out towards door this has me just puzzled as I cannot figure where it could be coming from.
Also last year I had to pull out the R side Rear side window and re seal it due to Someone dumping something on paint causing clear coat to pull up from paint allowing water to get between the clear and the base paint leaking into headliner ( C pillar window I think it is called) It has quite a few studs with nuts on inside attaching it
Now the the other day when I washed it I seen some drips on the drivers side same dang C window just opposite side, is this something that happens on these durangos?
The R Side I used Flex Seal (Black Flex Rubber paste that you can use with a caulking gun) I know that was not correct but it was leaking bad and I had this handy and it was supposed to rain for the next month or so so I improvised it worked and still is working just not sure if I can ever get the window out again if needed LOL
what is recommended to be used to replace the factory rubber seal thing? It is like a sticky rubbery sealant ribbon thingy?

Good question I will have to pay extra attention , at the moment it is like 90 ° F outside so now rain but i could see if I hose down front door as well as >>heck could wash it (If I notice any water on the floor (Accumulating) I have never pulled carpet could a rubber drain plug do dad have came loose under carpet? I could climb under and look, I suppose for any rubber plugs missing or out of place Never thought of that to be honest
Thanks Again
Any suggestions on the C pillar window leak issue? would just using the flex paste rubber stuff be OK as I did on the Other side do not really see a reason to have to remove window anytime soon and it rains a lot here in the NW especially Oregon.

A lotta rain the pacific northwest? Oh, say it ain't so.
Crawling under it and having a look around sure wouldn't hurt....... also check where various things go thru the firewall....... might be a damage/old/dried out seal/grommet....
Don't know on the window... Having a hard time picturing that.... (and it's way past my bedtime.

That doesn't look too bad.... Having to disassemble the interior likely isn't fun.... Can you even get to the spot that is leaking from the outside, without removing the window, or, at least, loosening the nuts?
Nope
the glass extends approx 2" If I remember correctly from when I did the R Side.
Actually the easiest part is getting the inner trim off the head liner just has hang down about 2-3"
Now getting a thin razor or super sharpened putty knife between the Rubber item where the butyl strip sits and the welded window sill there is the PITA especially in a pouring rainstorm (as I had to do on the L Side.

I hear you as was quite frustrated and had a heck of a time removing the R side one (Did not help that I started when it was just cloudy and then decided to rain like 1" per hour as I was trying to figure out how to detach it. LOL
I have yet to figure out what was going on up front as I cannot replicate where it was leaking but will for sure let you know when I do figure it out.
