I'm replacing all 8 coil packs and spark plugs in my 2000 Durango 4.7L XLT. The #8 coil pack was a BEAR to remove the old one, and the new one is being stubborn going back on. It's shaping up to be impossible to get back on with the coil hole sliding over the hold down bolt with the darn tranny dip stick tube in the way. I can bent the tranny dip stick tube to the left slightly while trying to bend the new coil pack & tube in place but it's turning out to be impossible.
Any advice?
BTW - looks like I'll have to remove the air resonator assembly to get to #2 and #3. While I have it off, has anyone considered removing the resonator and running just a curved tube from the filter box to the throttle body? Didn't want to remove the original filter box though...
