headlights and trans problems
i have 5.9 2000 durango with 213`699 miles on it and it has 2 problems quite harsh shifting and headlights out to begin with it is missing a foglight and the connection is covered in engine grease but what happened was i had both high beams an no foglight (it has a passenger foglight) But a couple of months later the high bean gave out and the foglight came back to life im very confused about that but now to trans its belive it has a 46re and the problem is when it goes it to park it moves foward a little bit and im not sure if the bands need to be adjusted or something and all of the other gears i have rev at like 1 grand maybe 1200 for it catch also sometimes it will put out power when im trying to accelerate it stays a certain speed and wont go faster at all oh and reverse is a rough one because you got to rev it to like 1500 1700 and then it catches with abit of force i know trans dont have a rep i just want to make sure mine doesnt implode its self or something
For the trans, change the governor pressure sensor and solenoid, (fluid and filter as well...) and the output speed sensor. If that doesn't solve it, it's rebuild time.
For the headlights...... Check fuses E,G, and C in the power distribution center.
