i have dynoed my D every time i have put any mods on it including hypertech programmers to heads to cams to roller rockers and so on ,if i can help just ask
on the dyno the hypertech programmer made 12 hp and 18 foot lbs but i did have a true dual exhaust and k n intake ,prior to those mods it only made 3 hp and 6 foot lbs
Hmmm, Thanks, I kept thinking if it is worth the $350 for the programmer to give me anything, but those numbers are neglible. But I wonder if the hypertech programmer can help in other ways such as better shift ranges? I hate the stock shift ranges, it upshifts way too early when giving it just a little power and all that power is gone after it upshifts early!
what year is ur d ,because if it has a 46re trans (in 00-02)hypertech programmer will only change timing rev limiter and speed limiter ,if u want to change shift points go to socaldakota.com and order a shift kit ,,,,it is unreal feeling
2000 R/T. I like to have my D hold out a little longer between shifts when driving around town because when I just give it a little more gas to get the D going, it upshifts too early and then the 5.9 just bogs down and I have to punch it to get the tranny to downshift. Hate to do the bunny hopping around like that and eats away at what little MPG's I got.
ok you need a shift kit depending on how they install the check ***** you can change the shift point also you can ask them to increase line pressure that will help you
