Default Installing Bazooka Tube in 98 Durango?

Anyone have any words of wisdom for installation of a 6" Bazooka Tube in a 98 Durango? It's an amplified tube so I'll have to run 12v from the battery and a remote power lead/RCA cable from the radio. I assume there is no 12v constant source near the back of the vehicle? I'm planning on running from the battery straight to the tube behind the third seat. I'm debating running cables under the carpet or under the plastic on the sides...? If anyone has helpful advise before I dive in please drop a note. CHEERS!

ps.. I'm not using stock radio! Just so I don't get any grief

i put three tens and a 1500 watt pheonix gold amp in my rango a short while back and found that the easiest way to run wires is down the side under the plastic trim. then behind the rear trim pannels next to the third seat. from there it is easy to run them out underneath the third seat or i to the little cubby in the floor, then you wont see any wires at all

On the 2000 Durangos, there is a 12 volt outlet in the back cargo bay of Durango. Don't know about your 98?

DO NOT RUN POWER OF THE POWER PLUG IN BACK!!!!!!!!!!!! Always run the power straight to the batt.

You do have a possible alternate for rear power source. Do you have factory tow package with seven blade connector. It has a 12V constant that goes to it. The protection cover for the plug usually has the wiring diagram on it.

Just run an 8 gauge power cord to the back straight from the battery, do not splice into any other power sources as that messes with the system already in place and that won't do anything but give you problems. Just one question, WHY IN THE HECK ARE YOU USING A BAZOOKA TUBE?????? [:'(][:'(][:'(][:'(]
