I believe it is a 5 speed. It's a 545RFE 5-Speed Automatic transmission.

Only 2nd generation Durangos have the 5 speed option.

0-60 times I think for the 4.7 2wd with 3.73 gearing is somewhere around the mid to high 8's I think. But it varies because of environmental conditions and driver's performance abilities.

Well, I read my sticker on my glovebox. It says 5-Speed Automatic, shift on the fly T/C, 3.55 Axle ratio. Otherwise, the sticker on the tranny says 545RFE, which I asked my uncle, he said that it is a 5 speed auto.

My bad, just found out only on 2003 with the 4.7l engine, a 5 speed auto is offered.

If you want to buy it really bad, how fast it would go in 0-60 should not be a main factor as these Durangos are easy to mod to go faster. Just depends on how much money you want to spend. With your 3.55 gear ratio, you won't have much off the line power, but at least you'll be enjoying good gas mileage.

0-60? You're probably looking at mid to high 9's.

I think about in the 9's as well. But you can always do upgrades.
