I have had a very trouble free '99 durango with 140,000 miles racked up on her. Lately, however, when the car is idle, it will occaisionally "jolt." or "miss" I dont really know how else to put it. Anyone of y'all knows what is going on?</P>
First thing, do a tune up... Spark Plugs andWires,Cap and Rotor, Fuel Filter and maybe change the oil for good measure... and see if it still happens. Is the engine itself missing, or is it just a vibration type noise you get randomly at idle?
but while your at it...why not do some upgrades too!! LOL
MSD 8.5mm....or Accel 8mm, NGK or Autolite plugs, any BRASS cap and rotor, and an Accel or MSD coil will get you about 1-1.5 mpg...and better throtle response!!
I agree!! lol! I was just trying to get the problem. LOL! ALWAYS consider doing upgrades... and when something's not working right, that's usually the best time to do so. LOL!
