Infinity Speaker Problems!!
I was told by a tech at Crutchfield I would be okay with the 4 ohm......
he said the amplifier would push the watts of the channel easier.
I will recieve these speakers later today I am gonna call the GeeK Squad at Bestbuy see what they say.

4ohm will work, you just will not have any low bass. The factory infinity amp is designed for 2ohm. You are doubling the reistance that the amp has push through. Hence robbing those much needed watts to drive the speaker. Less wattage = Less sound. The infinity amp, and most other aftermarket amps are designed that when a peak load is applied it reduces the low signal output, hence no bass. I learned this the hard way by putting All 4ohm replacments in my 2002 with 4 drivers and 4 tweets. Sounded like crap and the amp would get way to hot. Replaced everything with Infinity Reference 6030cs. 6 1/2" drivers, tweets and crossovers. ALL 2 OHM. Sound kicks ***. Returned the 10" sub and mono amp, as there was no need for it. Send the 4 ohm stuff back and look for some 2ohm stuff.
2 or 4 ohms does not neccessary improve the bass response. It is all on the quality of the voice coil of the speaker you buy. They have cheap sounding 2 ohm speakers as well. My reference infinity's on my truck sounds much better than the OEM's minus a little bass because the OEM's have a deeper cone or voice coil to generate the bass. But the mid's and highs, the reference infinity's blows the oem's away. Makes up for the lack of bass for every day listening. These are 4ohm speakers. Less distortion vs the 2 ohm speakers at near max power.
Plus the 4ohm speakers will not overwork my little oem amp either.
Looking for a shop to swap my oem amp for my blauphunkt digital amp. Only 4 channel aftermarket amp that will perfectly fit in the passenger side kick panel where the oem amp is located. But the wiring will be have to be redone.
