if the injectors were dry he'd have starting problems as the fuel pressure tries to rise to the normal pressure... your probably hearing the lifters as mentioned already.

to the original poster... you can try 1/2 quart of marvel mystery oil about 500 miles before your next oil change... that will help clean the insides before you swap it out. This will quiet the lifters down some.
