WW:

Glad to hear you got her fixed. I would be hesitant as well to pull the motor apart when it is running fine, and there is no signs of anymajor coolant loss.

Hey guys I just have a little to add. Check your freeze plugs for leaks. A leak may contribute to overheating. I have had this problem so... Also check for coolant loss. That is a sign of a leak.

I was thinking of changing radiator but you wrote that it was replaced 1.5 years ago. But did not read your thoughts clearly enough and basically you said your D never kept cool since then. Who would thought a replacement radiator would cause this problem.

Sometimes you can get bad replacement parts. A good thing to follow, if you have a problem pop up, just trace back your steps on what was done to your D before this problem came up and usually that is the answer.

you are right, and thank you for your great tips.

that's right too.

you are right, we were unable to find out the problem especially when you were asking me about the things that car do when it overheats, i was mistaken about the rad. , cuz i called the first owner he told me he never changed it since he bought it, so i decided to change it as if it works fine then ok otherwise ready to sell...ha ha. but now im feeling so happy cuz i proved with you guys that the dealer is wrong and we were right...

a good tip i learned, never underestimate your thoughts and cuz ur the user and u know better than any dealer with a little mechanical background, don't also be hurry and wait for signs, big cars need patience.

thanks to all of you

Big Dawgg Did you ever get your D running right. This may sound silly but i have known people that got their water pump and clutch fan changed out, only to have it over heat when they got it back. Turns out thefan wasinstalled backwards. Unbolted it from the clutch fan turned it around and it worked great.

Hi there.....I am new tothis forum and am looking to find out how to remove and replace the radiator in my 98 Durango. I have looked through the topics and have not seen any instructions on how to do this. Any help would be appreciated.

You should check a product called Evans coolant they are available in the USA for a long time but I had my first experience with their dealer for my Dodge and so far soo good.
