Default snorkel

Anyone have a snorkel on their D? If so just wondering how you did yours. I've noticied from some of the jeep forum links (http://community.webshots.com/album/172456157xRgirG) that the air box is about the same on the D's as a jeep cherokee just different location. So I am thinking of going the route as done in the pics from the link above. Hook me up with some pics you have a homemade snorkel or have found someone that produces a kit.

Thanks

Nissan's appear to have all their airboxes on the driver side. The first gen D's have the airboxes on the passenger side so those kits will not work. Thanks though.

no, can't say I put forth a ton of effort either though. I did some looking awhile back in the past and never found anything that really worked. I think I am just going to rig up my own. thank for the tips though.

I would first imagine your snorkel would look like a tall plastic pipe sticking straight up from the fender well just like that GM SUV that Pierce Brosman drove in that movie Dante's Peak?

Somewhat like that yea, different types u can have a vert rise, or u can have the ones that run from your fender up the side of your window fallowing the body line of the truck, all it is, is a 4 inch piece of airduct tubing for automotive that runs from your airbox out your fender to keep water from entering your TB
