Default Help! blower dosent work at all???!

ok, so ive seen info on the blower motor resistor being the problem when it blows on high only. Mine dosent blow at all. Neither front or back works. fueses good, and relay good. I hear a realy by the drivers kick panel tick when i flip the switch to high but no air anywhere blows.
Is it the blower motor? is there a seperate one for the rear???
THANKS!!!!

I had the same problem a 2 years ago where the motor didn't work at all. It was the resistor. Very easy to change, costs < $15.

But Jimminyc's problem is both front/rear are out. I do not know if the rear motor uses a similar resistor and what the chances are for both of these to short out at the same time. Usually just the front motor goes out because of the resistor. The resistor pack up front is only for the front motor I am sure. In this case, it may be the fan speed switch on the dash?

well, i took the fan out, jumped it on the battery and now it works. Who knows...anyway, its working now that i reinstalled it. I also removed the resister and it was fine but now it all works....i hate it when that happens!
Still no rear though.

Jimmy or anyone else, what are the steps to pull that resistor? I am not sure I have even located it yet. I guess it is under the passenger side dash though but what does it take to get it out?

Thanks.

MDThomas26 What year is your D, 98-99 the resistor is located under the cowl of the front windshield, Passenger side , top hole in the fire wall. You cant see it but you can reach in and unbolt it. Its a real pain in the put to swap out but its do-able. I think00 and up it is loacated under the dash.
