Your right,

It has been done and I have seen a few people that have done it. The ones I have seen done were the regular 24 valve tho.

I was actually speaking from experience with putting the cummins in a Durango. It was a very large project and took my whole crews minds together working on it. Hat we did was fake the front end off a Ram 2500 and manufactured it to fit to the Durango body. Doing this we were also able to make the existing 2wd now a 4wd since we did an overhaul of everything. This was no easy task and took a lot of hard time and labor.

Make sure you know what you're getting in to before starting the project. All in all it was an awesome project though, by no means was I trying to say it can't be done or not to do it. I was just saying make sure money isn't an issue or you could just buy a 2000 dually for about as much.
