No amount of water leaking there is correct. So, as stated keep an eye on it. It should not leak.

Just changed my water pump Sunday. Surprised how easy it went, after getting the fan off. If you dont have a strap wrench I used my old serpentine belt(keep in the D for emergency backup) by going under WP pulley, up and over AC, then twisted the other end and put a cheater bar thru the loop and pulled HARD. Also had a cheater on the wrench for the nut. NOT EASY. Changed tstat next day. 133K miles. Got D in October, and everything goes at once. Now in shop to check wheel bearings or CV Joints, not sure what is making grinding noise while turning left. Brakes are next!!
