2000 Durango Electrical Issues
Good Evening -
I have a 2000 Durango with some strange electrical issues. None of my 12v power recepticals (always on) seem to be working (both front console and rear tailgate). They did not go out at the same time, so they are not on the same circuit. Also, it has not effected the Accessory Cig lighter, I cannot find a blown fuse anywhere that identifies a problem with those two recepticals, and why they are not working properly. I have removed the front dash to see if there are any loose wires or shorts, but everything seems well connected. There are not any "in line" fuses (that I can see) either. Any thoughts on this one?
The other issue is with my door locks. My keyless doorlock works properly (lock and unlock), when the car is off, the manual switch on the door works properly, but when the car is on or the key is in the accessory position, the manual switch only unlocks the door, it will not lock the door. Disregard 2nd question - while I was testing this, my driverside door was open, causing the problem - but I still can't figure out the first question - jjb
Any suggestions?
Jamie

RE: 2000 Durango Electrical Issues
Ok -
So I found a small set of fuses (4) near the driver side door, behind an existing set of fuses. These are not marked in the book!! I found the blown fuse for the front power receptical. Anyone know where the rear power receptical fuse is? I also noticed that my rear license plate light is out also. Those fuses might be one in the same or near each other. Any thoughts?
