3 inch Ranco Lift on my 2001 durango R/T gonna work?
For my 2001 Durango R/T (full-time AWD), I'm like a day away from ordering the rancho 3 inch suspension +RS9000 shocks and skid plate ---- Some have said that the kit is not compatible with the full time AWD of the R/T.... others have said that theres no reason why it wouldn't work and that rancho just never tried it.... or something.... and that they have used it successfully on other Durangos with AWD case....
whatdayathink??
1. This is gonna fit right everyboudy? its ok on AWD?!
2. How are those shocks?? They are adjustable - sounds good.... but could I do better to order kit alone and find some other really sweet shocks for same amount?? anybody had experience with these or others on their D??

I was at 4 wheel parts the other day and the guy told me that they didnt make a suspension lift for 2000 and up durangos because of the change to rack and pinion steering. I've been looking for a suspension lift for my 01. If you get it to work or find out if it does let me know. That would be sweet! As of right now I have the 2in body lift, but would love another 3 inches.
You guys can always go the cheaper route and do a torsion lift in the front and a shackle lift in the rear for 2 inches. It is less than $100. That's what I'm about to do once I get moved and settled into my new place...

That drops Chevy trucks, but due to our leaf springs mounted on the opposite side of the axle, it will actually raise our trucks. That is the correct part number to raise the rear end ~1.5"-2".
To raise the front end, you jack up and support the front of the vehicle, then crank the torsion bars ~7-8 full turns. This will even out the front (raise it ~1.5"-2").

The shackles are made to drop a Chevy if I'm not mistaken but people use them to raise the D. You would need the shackles, 8 washers, and about 2 hours. The torsion bars just need to be cranked with a wrench PM me your email addy...

that doesnt seem hard at all. is my ride gonna stiffen up a lot? cause i already feel everything in the road, with 33's and the lift. would new shocks help smooth the ride? if so what kind do you guys recommend?
Well, I can't say (mine won't be delivered until Friday), but most that I have read do not complain about a harsher ride from this. There probably is a little more harshness in the front, but hardly noticeable. The Shackle doesn't really affect the harshness of the rear.
Sorry, I can't comment on shocks.

I'll go with Jason on this I have heard nothing about the ride changing at all and the shackles hook up to the stock leaf's so you wouldn't have to add a leaf to get the same lift which will save you from extra bumps...
