Oh because I have seen some pics where the new viper fan is right where the clutch driven fan sits...

That doesn't sound right at all. It should mount right on the radiator.

Not from what I've seen. I may get kicked off of here because my system is going down for maintenance but pm me your email and I'll show you what I'm talking about.

That is a interesting situation! Having 2 electric fans? I would surely think the Viper fan will replace the electric fan as well as the mechanical fan. Especially if you opt to the 2 speed. I assume the high speed will be wired to the A/C for maximum cooling wihle the A/C is running. If you use 2 electric fans, I wonder if the OEM alternator have enough juice to keep up with the added current load? I wonder how efficient having 2 pull fans one right behind the other?

wished someone had one of these setups and post some pics!

Thanks Dman98 from DT!

I finished installing the fan, I just need to make the wiring around the relays neater. I used a Derale adjustable fan switch w/relay and a 50 amp 5 pin relay in place of the 70 amp relay in 75 Power Wagon's diagram. On the dash, I mounted the high speed turn on switch and a light that indicates when the fans low speed is on. Using 75 Power Wagon's instructions, the low speed cuts off when the high speed is activated via the dash mounted switch. The low speed light also goes off, indicating the low speed is actually off. Here's some pic.

I have spoken with Dman 98 (98 D 5.2) and he is going to take more pics and give them to me to put up and I was wrong there is no need for the original e-fan.

Holy crap, that is close to the engine!

I just got done installing my Flex-a-lite 180 in place of the original electric fan and manual fan. Not fun. Not difficult, but a PITA to mount it. Probably much easier if you had a helper.

With this type of Viper kit, we do not have to buy the radiator shroud that has our coolant and wiper fluids? those viper kits with and without this and that was confusing to me.

Also, does anyone know how much CFM's the OEM electric fan pulls?
