Default New Durango owner

I just bought a 2000 Durango 4x4 5.9ltr & have a couple of questions, what axles are in it, I've been trying to find this out? Also anyone running Limited slips front and rear or just in the rear? I was looking at getting a dual exhaust, are the flowmaster 40 series too loud? My local midas shop says they can do dual 40 series with chrome tips for around $350 is this reasonable? Also Can I fit 32 inch tires on it stock & if so does anyone have any pics of this or can direct me where I can see some. Also I'm having trouble finding accessories and parts for Durango's does anyone have any links to parts? I have a Jeep Wrangler and there is a lot of aftermarket parts but it doesn't seem to be that way with the Durango's. Thanks for any help

welcome to DF...

for performance parts, search on dodge ram, your 5.9 motor is the same motor and there are a ton of things you can do to it. 1.7 roller rockers, timing chain (stock is junk), throttle body (52mm fastman) for starters...

for the 360... on the ram 4x4's we would do a 3" in, dual 2.25" out single muffler. if you go duals on it you may loose too much low end torque for your liking along with fuel economy.

are you planning on doing the wrenching yourself?

You have a lot of questions. Look at my sig. I have a lot of upgrades and love every one of them. If I had your D I would do the same all over again.

what are P&P heads? I had a similar setup in my 2000 ram and the only thing i'd do different would be to not do the MSD ignition. I had the off-road box and it ate the cap & rotor way to quick for a daily driver.

you know what i'd recommend on your truck... would be to yank the intake and cut the runners down 1.5", clean up the injector bores and clean up the TB opening. did that on my 5.9 ram and it screamed on the top end.

For gear ratios, check the sticker in your glove box. There should also be a sticker on the rear axle telling you the ratio, and whether you have LSD (Trac-Lok). The LSD only came in the rear for some vehicles, not the front. You can fit 32" tires with the T/S (torsion/shackle) lift (search and you should find discussions on this), as long as you don't go too wide. I think 11.5" wide is the widest with stock wheels, and you may still get some rub at full wheel lock.
