What you guys think about 4.7, is that any good? Hi my name is Edgar and I have a 00 Durango with 4.7 that I just bought, I worked for a salvage yard, so in less than 3 months I have sold 3 engines (4.7) they said that the problem is over heating, so I Don't know what to belive, some people say that they are good and some people say that they are not. So I would like to hear your opinion. thanks for advance.

 

cant tell you much about the 4.7's but if you keep up with the maint on the cooling system you should have no problems. I havent heard of any blown head gaskets on 4.7's which would be another reason they're claiming over-heating problems...
