Default 2000 Durango 5.9 R/T dies 2 seconds after starting

R/T sits outside while I am at work, and when I get off it starts fine but only runs for 2 seconds then dies. I wait and restart many times before it finally stays running. This problem started last week. After the 3rd occurance I had the Idle Control Valve replaced. It started and ran OK for three days but problem started, again. Battery and Alternater checked out fine. It starts fine in the am and pm, but on warm/hot afternoons is when the problem occurs. Today, would not stay running until after 6:00pm, then started just fine. Once the engine stays on, it always runs fine. Two mechanic shops have scratched their heads. I dread the dealer and mortgaging my home for repairs. If anyone has had this problem and/or can share some advice that I can take to the local mechanics... I'll listen.

Welcome.

Maybe a crank shaft sensor. I've seen problems like these and others but they usually are started after it rains outside. I would go ahead and replace it. Try that first.
