Default transmission shifting rough

I have a 2000 dodge durango and I have noticed for a while now that it is not shifting as smoothly as it did in the past I heard that if you change the transmission fluid that it will help? Any one else ever had this problem?

Yep change the fluid every 30k miles and you may just be low on fluid right now.

Do a full service. Fluid change, Filter, and band adjustment.

you may have a sticky shift solenoid for whatever gear your having problems with. mine is having a similar issue shifting into/outof 2nd. take it to a good shop and have them look at it. I know there are 2 sensors that can also cause problems, my 2000 ram had this issue... seemed like it was shifting in & out of OD more than it should. swapped the 2 sensors and it was all good again.

Many of those problems are caused by medal shavings. You can put an inline filter on you trans cooler lines to help that from happening again.
