I took my D into the shop and after a couple days and very confused mechanic it turns out there is a TSB out for this problem. I don't have the TSB number sorry. But it talks about re-routing the coil wire and the plug wires keeping them all 1 inch apart from each other.

The coil wire is actualy router over the top of the valve cover. You need to install 3 clips (P/N 56028186) onto the studs on the valve cover bolts. It shows several diagrams showing which way to route the wires.

This has fixed my problem. My D is running like a champ now. I hope this may help others.

I have a 2001 durango with the 5.9 and im having this same problem. Ive changed all the same stuff, distributor cap, rotor, plugs all after having the corosion on the distributor. I really dont have the money to take my durango to a shop and was hoping to get some more information on this tsb about the plug wires. If anyone can help it would be great because im about to go on vacation and want to fix the idle first. Thanks
