Default Intermittent staling & hard starting

I have 99 durango, 5.9 V8, 54000 miles, runs great. The problem is at times it starts stalling, (once or twice a day) sounds like running on 4 cylinders then stalls. If you restart sometimes runs perfect other times just turns over. Let it sit a bit, starts and runs great.
No check engine lite comes on.
Electrical ? Fuel pump ? Any tips where to start ? When not acting up runs perfect.....

IAC valve is dirty... pull the throttle body off, then pull the IAC off and clean both the TB and IAC really good. make sure all air passage ways are open (there should be a small one near the valve & valve seat for the IAC).

yanking just the IAC is another way of doing it but less effective. I recommend taking the time to pull the TB off. when it's off have a peek down in to the intake and look for oil pooling on the bottom of the intake, a light film is normal, pooling isnt. if it is, your plenum gasket is leaking.

Also it could be a fuel pump. You can test your pressure on the fuel rail. It should run about 54-56psi.
