Hi Guys-
Just purchased a 99 5.2 durango and the am having a stalling issue. Installed a new battery already.

OK here is what happens the truck starts and runs fine but if i let the truck run for 1o minutest in the morning, then turn it off and try restarting the engine just stalls. I have to give it gas for a few minutes before it will idle again.

I can only recreate this problem if i let the truck idle 1st thing in the morning then shut it down and try to restart in the morning.

Taking it back to the used car dealer on monday but i am not confident that they can fix it.

welcome to DF... it is most likely your IAC valve that is dirty or going bad. have them yank the TB and clean it real good or replace it. they're about $60 bux

OK the problem just got worse. I cant keep the durango running at all without holding the gas down.


Do you guys still think it is is IAC?
