I'm 99.9% sure only the dealer can do that.

I've heard that if you have a working remote, you can program it by yourself. Following is from some web site:

You need one already programmed remote.
1. Key in ignition to ON position.
2. On already programmed Remote. Hold down UNLOCK 4 - 10 seconds.
3. While holding down UNLOCK for 4 - 10 seconds, press and release LOCK and PANIC at the sametime. You will get a single chime. Release Unlock.
4. After Chime, Within 30 seconds, press and Release LOCK and UNLOCK at the sametime. You wil get another single chime.
5. Press UNLOCK and/or LOCK to test. If it works programming has worked.
6. Repeat 4 and 5 for each additional remote.

At which steps do you bring in the unprogrammed remote to program?

I believe it is step 6 that you introduce the new remotes, the first steps I believe is to show the vehicle the original or current remote(s).

I have an '01 that only came with 1 keyless entry remote when purchased. Bought a used one off eBay and was able to follow instructions in my manual to program it. Check the manual in the Keyless Remote use section. Reading over the instructions posted above, it seems a little different than the steps I followed. If anybody is interested, I'll be more than happy to copy and post what is in my '01 manual.

Please post. It could be possible, that different year models may have different remote hardware or software revisions, thus programming steps may be different.

Thanks,

I was reading your recommendation on programming the keyless remote for the 1998 Durango. Have you tested the recommendation, does it work?

I have found a better one. Found a site that shows you how to program any remote on any chrysler/dodge product.

It's not on the site anymore. I found it here but cannot find that message anymore. But I can email you the file to see for yourself.
