Did anyone get their D used, and come without the little pin/button/tab on the drivers seat belt or was it just my dumb luck? It is the button the goes over the seatbelt below the latch, and acts as a retainer to keep the seatbelt bucklefrom sliding all the way down when not in use. By not in use, I mean when vehicle is parked, because as responsible vehicle operators we all wear our safety belt/shoulder harness when the vehicle is in motion right? The dealer charged $12.50 for this little tab, which is basically not much more than a high strength plastic thumb tack with a collar on the other end, held in by super glue and flattened out to remove the sharp edge. It seems like a lot, but I guess all that DOT/NHTSA testing, color matching, and printing of the 17 step instructions which can be done in about four. Make that five steps, you have to measure the location and center on the belt. I didnt mean to get on a rant, but just wondering if this was an option on all 2003 models, or for that matter all Durangos in general?

 

they all have them, but you should atleast see a hole there where it should be. you could probly find something else to put there instead of buying that lil plastic piece.

but if you do buy it from the dealer, ask how much it is to install it

 

Done deal, I did it myself, only took about five minutes, I was just curious if mine did come with one, and possiblyfell out, because I never did see a hole or any markings of previous installation. It works now, and looks good.I probably could have worked my dealer to install it, but they only looked up the part, I drove to another dealer about five miles away to pick it up.
