Aloha. New to the forum. Recently purchased a 1999 Durango SLT and it has a squealing [:@] brake problem. I believe the dealer used substandard pads when I requested he fix the problem the first time since the problem started again.

I'm looking for new pads and possibly new rotors to attempt to correct the problem. It worked on my other car so I thought I'd try it with the Durango.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

I had the same problem after new breaks. The shop recommended installing ceramic pads. I did that and the squeaking started about 1 week later. I brought it in again, and they said that the new pads had heat cracks causing the squeaking. They replaced the pads with new ceramics again and this time the squeaking went away.
