Help on removing radiator fan

Default Help on removing radiator fan

Story is my radiator a/c condensor and radiator fan all were messed up by the deer i hit. Now i have everything off but the radiator fan.. The problem im having is when i turn thewrench the nut andthe pulley also turn. To make sure, which way do i turn the wrench and what is the easiest or best way of taking the radiator fan off.

I did this last year when changing the clutch, had to use a strap wrench around the pulley to hold it still while turning the nut (counterclockwise?).

the dealer has a special tool to remove this. I've tried to do this with a wrench and screwed up the nut.

they make a narrow wrench for that nut it should have reverse threads (counterclockwise) this is alot easy to do if u leave the belt on while turning that nu it allowes you to help hold it so it doesnt spin

Just go get a strap wrench and you'll be fine...
