Default Freeze plug

I am looking at a '99 Durango tomorrow. Owner said that one of the freeze plugs are leaking. He had some replaced before but a different one is leaking now. I know the part is cheap &I have replaced them in older cars but I'm thinking access may be a problem with the Durango. How easy are they to get to and how much would I have to pay someone to replace it??

Thanks a lot

The ones at the front of the engine are relatively easy to replace, however there are a few on the back of the engine that require the tranny to be separated, and i think there are one or two that required the engine to be pulled $$

I'll add some links to other threads in a minute

Thanks, I just sent the owner an e-mail asking where it is leaking. If he says the rear of the engine, I'll tell him to fix it, or I'll pass.

He said that the leaking plug is on the side of the engine. What am I looking at, $$, if I don't replace it myself??

I'd look at a different D personally usually when one goes the rest are soon to follow at least from what I've seen on other posts around here...
