hitch with shackle lift

hitch with shackle lift
I was reading in the How-to thread about installing a torsion shackle lift, that the hitch has to be removed in order to install the new shackles. My question is, can the hitch be re-installed after the shackles are in?? Or can you not have a hitch with the shackles installed??

If I remember correctly you have to remove the hitch to take the bolts out of the shackles. Then after you put the new longer shackles in and they are all bolted up you can reinstall the hitch
O thank god! I woulda been SOL cuz I NEED the hitch, but I really want the lift.
