just got a call from my son lives2 hrs away has my duango said its going in and out of overdrive, the check engine light came on and also the trans temp light .he pulled over checked fluid and everything ok does anyone have any suggestions before i go down with my trailer to bring it back

 

You may have him check and possibly change out both the speed and tranmission sensors.

 

Usually in and out ofoverdrive = TPS..... (throttle positioning sensor)

 

If I were you I'd let that thing sit and cool down then tell him to turn off the OD and drive home slowly (50 mph no more or you could blow a seal and overheat again)if you don't want to go and trailer him back.
