'99 Durango, 5.9L Stalling problem
I have a 1999 4X4 Durango, 5.9 literwith about 73K miles. In the past few months, it has simply shut-off while driving. It acts like it has no spark at all. After sitting for about 5 minutes, it starts right back up again and may not do it for weeks. I have had a dealer run diagnostics on it, but found nothing. It is very irritating as it is very unpredictable as to when it's going to happen. Otherwise, it runs great!
I'm thinking maybe the PCM or it's connections. Any other ideas would be appreciated!

welcome to DF... 3 things it could be... fuel pump, coil or crank position sensor.
next time it dies on you turn everything off and turn the key to the run position and listen for the fuel pump. if you hear it and have access to a fuel pressure gauge you can check the pressure at the rail... should be 49 psi.
next would be the coil, yank a plug when it's dead and re-connect it to the wire and ground it. crank it over and look for spark. no spark either means the coil is dead or the crank sensor is going bad...
my bet is the crank sensor...
