I like my way better. It is a much simpler changeover when you need it and I'm gonna be flushing my heater core soon so it would be the perfect time anyway.

Actually Ken I'm talking about leaving it on and being able to switch it on for winter months and switch it off for summer

You will have to flush your heater core whenever you reconnect the heater core to the system.

Yes. The coolant that is in your core will need to be flushed out and replaced.

Eh it's not a big deal I guess. All in the name of keeping up the maintenance...

Exactly. It doesn't take long and will prevent you from introducing stagnent coolant back into the system.
