ive seen a reverse light system that works with the receiver hitch. It was designed as an assist for hooking up a trailer, but would be just as helpful for reversing. I'll look for the link and send it to you. I park a lot at school and there are a lotta ppl who hang pretty far over the front line, so I got a small magnified square that sticks to the rear window. It works like a convex mirror (blind spot mirror) in the fact that it magnifies a large area, it helps when backing up cuz you can pretty much read the license plate of the car behind you. I've tested it with friends and when I can no longer see the front bumper of the car behind me, I'm about 6 inches away from it.

Hmm, thanks for the link. That setup looks a lot cleaner than hanging some fog lights from the rear bumper.

 

I dont know how well it works, but I think I came across that link either on this forum, or maybe it was a link while I was searching some other parts.
