2000 Durango no heating during warm up
My Ram had the 5.9 360 and it only took about 10 minutes.Even if I start it early the Durango takes about half an hour to get HOT air and if I don't drive it it wont get hot air at all even if it's at 210 on the temp gauge. My friends backhoe has better heat!

Mine can idle for anhour without heat.I have to drive it for at least 20 minutes until I get hot air.It blows cold to luke warm air until then.I flushed everything so now I'm thinking the heater core is bad.

It takes a freakin' long time for the D to heat up in the winter. I don't turn on the heater until I get in the car after 10-15 minutes of letting the engine warm up. It usually starts up a little cool, but once I get going it gets warm pretty quick. The temps here in Wisconsin have been well below zero (down to -20 to as low as -35 with wind chill)for the past few days and I've let 'er warm up for 15 minutes and the temp guage barely reaches past 130 until I start driving it.
How long did you flush it? Another answer is that it may be too far gone already and needs replacement. I would just run a buttload of water through it bothway before goingand removing it.
