RE: Torsion Bar Lifting
Deerang,
The Kit I used was Advanced Performance #60053. for 2000-2002 Durango. There were only a few wires to extend. You also have to extend your Fuel filler and return lines. Flip your upper radiator hose. The rear fender inner fenderwell's need to have the plastic rivets poped off to remove the rear bumper. The kit doesn't have anything to reinstall them so you will have to get some screws, or nylon inserts to reinstal them. You also must cut the lower part of your fan shroud so it doesn't hit the fan. It does also come with the steering extention. The only thing I had to have done was the welding of the transfer case shift linkage. Please let me know if you have any other questions. Good luck. Ted

Deerang, you ever think of a blacked out (powder coated, or I was gonna buy mine unpainted and put a rhino-liner like coating on it) brushguard and nerf bars? My D is the same color, with the body color grill and all, and I have thought that those and a black cargo try for the top would look sick, plus 4 off-road lights on the rack, and 4 on the brushguard (looking at an 8 pack of 130 watt lights, if I angle those right, won't be nothing I won't be able to see with them)? Just throwing that out there man, 'cause those are the mods I'm looking at, that with the 3" Suspension lift and 3" Body lift should make it look mean, or so I hope ;-)

I've acutally never liked the look of brush guards. I think mainly cause I see them on a whole bunch of suvs that would never need them, it just turns me off to the idea of putting one on. A small push bar doesnt look that bad, and it would allow you to put 2 lights on it, but thats just my opinion.
the black powder coated nerf bars (like side steps) would look prety good in my opinion. I have a pic of a black D with a roof rack on it that looks pretty good IMO, I just wouldnt use it enough to justify the cost haha.
I think a polished aluminum would look better with the colour of the D, however powder coated is 1000 times stronger finish, and 100 times easier to keep the finish. For off-road sake, I'd go with powder coated finish.

My advice: Go to 4wheelparts.com they got a pretty good 3" suspension lift for around 800 bucks, not too bad really, it's a a full suspension lift in the front and an add-a-leaf in the bag. It's what I'm saving up to get, b/c my springs in the back are fine, no sag at all, so it should be all good.
