Crazy Americans with their US gallons....whats wrong with regular Gallons? Well I don't know how many USG ive put in, but from stretching the fuel light, I've put in about 80 litres before.

Also, running it clear to empty, lets any dirt that maybe in the bottom of your tank to get sucked into your fuel lines and injectors and all kinda of bad stuff can happen. The Lucas treatment is good idea, but may get pricey if you do it every fill up. I make sure I do it at least every 1,000 miles, if not every 500 miles (roughly every other fill up). It really just depends on how much cash I have on hand at the time I drive past at an Advance ro Auto ZOne on my way to fill 'er up. I get about 14 mpg when I drive nice and slow, and obey all traffic laws, and generally, drive like a pansy. Now, with the ice and the doughnuts that of course, you HAVE to do everytime you see an iced over, empty parking lot, I get about 12 or so. Typically, I get 13.7 (I got the computer in mine that tells me). I love mine though, I got the 5.2 with the 3.92s in it, I cna do doughtnuts on dry pavement, but I pay the penalty in tires, so I love the ice ;-)

Ifound the low fuel light, It comes on as a self test during start up, I guess I justhavent run it down enough to find out if it works during normal operation.Yes, I am scared there I said it...Don't think of it as scared, think of it as overly fuel concious and eeping extra weightand traction for winter driving.

Chitown, Welcome back!! Havent heard from you in a while

Soldice, Bosch plats, not sure what engine you have, but overall not overly exciting results with PLAT Plugs on the Durango, isolated cases of good results but rare indeed. I am not trying to scare you off but monitor closely. Other senior members may chime in on this subject so beware.

I forgot this in my last post but I don't usually get much beyond 15-17 in city. I can usually squeeze 18-20 on highway at about 70 with A/C on. I got about 18 going Indy to Tampa, with driver, 3 pax, and full baggage. About two months later I got 19 Indy-Milwaukee and that is factoring Chicago Traffic.

Again, welcome aboard!!!

Steve

the platinums are crap in these engines, take them out and put in the factory champion copper core plugs and get rid of the platinums, they will cause numerous errors, including misfires, low fuel economy, a number of cel codes (i think) just not worth the hassle.

and mpgs, ill post mine again, 13-14 in the winter around town 15-17 in the summer around town, and 20-21 highway cruising about 75-80 w/ the a/c on

btw: i have the 4.7 w/ the 5 spd auto tranny, w/ part time 4x4
