Bad:
The 5.2 and 5.9 family of motors is known for the belly pan gasket to fail which causes excess oil consumption. This gasket sits between the intake and the block. I believe one of the ways to verify this is to use a flashlight and look down into the intake after removing the air hat. If the gasket is bad, you will see wetness which is oil that is being drawn in around the failed gasket and burned.

Also, check your oil for signs of coolant as the same gaset could be allowing coolant to leak internally into your oil pan and thus the engine.
Bearings do not like anti freeze and will not live long in that environment.

I would have hoped DC would have cured this issue by 02 since the 5.9/5.2 motors have been around quite awhile, but I guess not. from what I recall, there is some urgency in making this repair if the problem exists as it has caused more than one engine to fail because it ran low on oil.

Good Luck Don

Does your exhaust seem to have a blueish color to it or thick white smoke? If it is blue you are burning oil if it is white you are burning coolant.

You say you have to put oil in every 2-3 weeks, how many miles are you driving during that time? How much coolant do you have to put in?

Unfortunately when you don't have any leaks externally it will almost alway mean you are leaking internally whch again most of the time is major work. (I include removing the intake as major work, because if you have a shop do it, it will be fairly expensive.) n8ech is probably correct if you have not overheated the car or it doesn't have excesive miles on it. But having said that you could have warped heads or your rings could be shot.

Also, someone correct me if I am wrong, as I don't have a 5.9, but I believe that the fuel filter and fuel pump are one in the same. To replace the filter, you have to replace the pump. Your dealership sells a treatment that they run through it to "clean" it, but it sounds like BS to me. Stick with sea foam every oil change and you will be fine.
